Cookie Policy
The cookies and local storage Onbixo uses - what they do, how long they last, and how to control them.

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. "Local storage" is a related browser mechanism for storing small values. Onbixo uses essential cookies for the dashboard, optional analytics/advertising cookies on the marketing site when configured, and local storage in the embedded runtime. We keep it minimal.
2. Dashboard cookies (essential)
These are required for the app to work - you cannot use the dashboard without them.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Essential | Login state and CSRF protection | Session |
remember | Essential | Persistent login ("remember me") | Up to 30 days |
Exact names may vary. Essential cookies are strictly necessary and are not used for tracking or advertising.
3. Marketing-site cookies (optional)
Our public marketing site currently uses these analytics and advertising services:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Analytics | Google Analytics 4 - sessions and pageviews | Up to 2 years |
These are set by the respective providers and governed by their own privacy policies (Google). You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Opt-out Add-on, or your browser settings.
4. The embedded runtime and local storage
The Onbixo runtime that shows flows on a customer's site uses the browser's local storage - not advertising cookies - to remember which flows an end user has seen, completed, or dismissed, and to apply frequency caps, so a flow does not repeat unnecessarily.
The runtime does not set third-party advertising cookies and does not track end users across other websites. This storage is per-device and local to the site the runtime runs on.
5. Cookie security
Essential cookies are set with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite flags,
so they cannot be read by client-side scripts and are sent only over HTTPS.
6. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the dashboard from working. Clearing local storage on a device will reset which flows an end user has seen there. Most browsers let you manage cookies under their Privacy or Security settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
